Materials you need are chicken wings, potato, garlic, Chinese onion, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cooking wine. sand sugar, salt, oil.
The following is to show my version of Braised Chicken Wings and Potato Recipe.
Step 1: Prepare chicken wings
a. wash chicken wings (what I use is the bottom of chicken wings), and drip off water;b. do 2 or 3 cuts on each side of the wings;
c. about 200ml wine,100ml light soy sauce and some oyster sauce mix in a container, dip chicken wings into and put them by for 20-30 minutes.
d. During the 20-30 minutes, turn them over once to avoid one side not being fully pickled by sauce.
Step 2: Prepare potato
Cut 2 or 3 medium-sized potato into small cubes, and mince the Chinese onion & garlic.
Step 3: Cook braised chicken wings
a. put oil into frying-pan, tun on heater;
b. when oil gets hot, put garlic mince into;
c. put wings into and stir;
d. when both sides of wings get fully fried,put Chinese onion and potato into;
e. stir to make them evenly heated, put about 2-3 spoons of soy sauce, 1 spoon oyster sauce and some cooking wine;
f. mix them and pour enough water until all materials are just submerged;
g. when water boils, turn down heater and let it slowly stew with a lid covering on;
h. till water becomes thickened soup, add 2 tsp salt & sand sugar, stir for a while and turn off heater.
Okay, the braised chicken wings and potato is happily finished! Every recipe of mine is made with some adjustment based on others’. Well cooking is also a kind of invention, recreation and things like that. I love my Chinese braised chicken wings recipe!
